The unique dial showcases the beautiful texture of the Tosa washi, which has been long used in shoji sliding screens in Japan to bring natural light into living spaces. The glittering accents enhance the understated beauty of the dial sprinkled with gold leaf using a traditional Japanese method called Sunago-maki. Each dial is meticulously handcrafted by master papermakers, ensuring that each dial is one-of-a-kind. At the bottom of the dial, as well as seen on the crown and case back, is the eagle mark, symbolizing the twin ideals of The CITIZEN - foresight and dedication to the pursuit of ideals as well as the enduring connection between watch and wearer.
