New York Comic Con 2019

Photo Gallery: Comics, Cosplay, And Citizen At New York Comic Con 2019

Yesterday, New York Comic Con kicked off, promising a weekend of panels, memorabilia, spoilers, and, of course, cosplay. Citizen was kind enough to invite Watchonista to cover the excitement and get a brief look at two new limited edition watches in their Marvel by CITIZEN collection.

Braving the cold and rainy Thursday, thousands of people descended on the Javits Center for the opening day of New York Comic Con 2019. Among hundreds of other exhibitors, located within Marvel’s sprawling exhibit area, Citizen displayed their Marvel by CITIZEN collection, including two new limited edition pieces: the Marvel 80th Anniversary watch and the Limited Edition Spider-Man watch.

However, New York Comic Con (NYCC) is about much more than the comic book universe! As the largest pop culture convention on the Eastern seaboard – attracting over 250,000 fans in 2018 – NYCC is about more than just comic books. Do you love Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Gundam, or Sailor Moon? Then, NYCC has got you covered. How about Fallout, Super Mario, Resident Evil, or Monster Hunter? NYCC will embrace you with open arms. From Star Wars to Pirates of the Caribbean, from Adventure Time to The A-Team, the number of pop culture niches represented at NYCC is unbelievably vast and includes action figures, steampunk, theatrical and prosthetic makeup, costume making, and – thanks to Citizen – wristwatches.

The Citizen Limited edition Marvel 80th Anniversary watch is limited to 1,939 pieces in honor of the year Marvel was started, and will only cost lucky fans $495.00.

Citizen's Limited edition Spider-Man watch is limited to 1,962 pieces commemorating the year of the first Spider-Man comic and costs a reasonable $450.00.
