A new model is being released from the CITIZEN Series8 brand of mechanical watches that combines practicality and functionality with modern and sporty designs. This new 831 mechanical model is inspired by rays of sunlight reflecting off crystal clear blue ocean waters.

The geometric pattern on the dial glitters and reflects light like the surface of a calm sea on a sunny day. The markings on the minute track also match the precise movements of the second hand. The octagonal case with its clean lines and polished surfaces perfectly complements the geometric pattern on the dial to produce a visually striking combination of straight lines and flat surfaces.

This model is also equipped with the Cal. 9051 mechanical movement which provides enhanced magnetic resistance to protect the watch from magnetic fields in everyday life. This allows the watch to maintain timekeeping accuracy even when placed within 1 cm of electronic devices that emit magnetic fields, such as smartphones and tablets. The watch achieves high daily accuracy of -10 to +20 seconds. It also has a transparent case back that reveals the beating mechanical heart of the watch.
